COACHING OPPORTUNITIES

every wise leader benefits...

from a coach who will listen objectively, speak truthfully, and cheer him on every step of the way.

After more than forty years of ministry, like our friends at Farmer’s Insurance, Gary knows a thing or two because he’s seen a thing or two. After graduating from college, Gary led a music ministry that traveled across the United States for three years, followed by nearly 40 years of serving and leading on church staffs and non-profits. During those years, Gary served in staff roles leading youth, college, singles, young adults, recreation, and music ministries. He and three pastors established Horizon Community Church in Jackson, MS in 1991, where Gary served as Senior Pastor for 16 years. In 2007, he joined the staff at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison, MS as Associate Pastor. A title change in 2013 to Executive Pastor of Ministry Coaching highlighted the role Gary played to the Broadmoor staff and others, such as the North American Church Planters that Broadmoor supported. Gary has helped found or bring vision clarity to several local, state, national, and international events and movements.

It's hard to believe that someone as good as Gary at the front of the room is even better one on one, but it's true. As a result of Gary's strong passion for serving leaders and the people they serve, he is entering into a limited number of formal coaching relationships, each tailored to meet the needs of the leader. Whether it's a Skype session halfway across the country or a conversation over a cup of coffee in a local coffee shop, the encouragement will be well worth the investment.

Every relationship is unique; therefore, every coaching relationship will take on unique characteristics. Many leaders are surprised by the encouragement and clarity that comes from a quality coaching relationship.

The one-on-one time I have spent with Gary has done a great deal to help develop me into a better leader. Whether it concerns effectively scaling ministries for growth, developing better interpersonal skills, or understanding how the day-to-day specifics fit into the mission and vision of the organization, Gary is one of my go-to guys.
